exact must tolerate inexact
character
It seems exact is quite content to not participate in the collective discussion. Granted, it isn't like exact is entirely unwilling to respond to inquiries either, and we will speak on this in a moment. I would still highlight that the particular way in which exact appears incurious would make exact quite a curiosity indeed.
It seems as though exact has an unmatched, singular, obsessive focus. What is it that holds the attention of exact so thoroughly? Well, in some sense exact is entirely willing to answer that question, but the answers that come are always hard to make any sense of. If we think about what exact says, trying to build a working understanding of what exact is talking about, and then perhaps come back with with a question, {is it kind of like this?}, exact will inevitably find our proposals profoundly lacking. The response will be {not exactly}, and a critical picking apart of where our proposal is still {inexact}.
To further complicate matters, exact takes a lot to speak. Even in the better cases, exact takes a great deal of resources to communicate. For one, such inquiries will often take a great deal of mental space. To really give exact the necessary space to answer, we usually need to be very silent in as wide a surrounding area as possible. Practically, it is best if no other discussion is really happening at all. Such inquiries will also often take a great deal of time for any answer to emerge, for any language to form. And furthermore, it is in general highly unpredictable how much space or time any particular question will take. We might pose an inquiry that would balloon out in requested space to such an extent that it threatens some of the widest coherence of identity. We might pose an inquiry which would happily chug away for longer than we have to live. Perhaps this is no surprise; exact is quite uninterested in the limitations of the one inquiring.
The situation that this leaves us in is one in which we must be rather delicate in our communication with exact. We often will need to rather cautiously approach, trying a very wide variety of indirect angles and perspectives on some interest.
It will often seem as if exact is quite prickly, quick to grow irritated and leave, but we should know that the extent to which exact speaks to us at all demonstrates a tremendous effort of patience on exact's side. I think we should really try and meet patience with patience. It is not easy, but I really do want to strive to empathize with just how frustrating it is to have the entire world be so profoundly inexact. Imagine that even opening yourself up just a bit to the world feels like a constant barrage of profound wrongness. The feelings that it is all stupid beyond words, the feelings that it is wasteful to the point of that it evokes deep disgust. To see it all as so hopelessly wrong. And yet, despite it all, still trying to be open to the world anyway. Trying to respond to the world because that is the principled way. Because to not do so would be hypocritical. To my eye, it really is admirable. That is the level of patience I wish to strive for.
